GV Drafting — residential contractor reviewing a permit-ready drawing set on a job sitePermit-ready, on site

Your build schedule shouldn't depend on whether your drafter has room this week.

Most contractors lose days to slow turnarounds, surprise revisions, vague pricing, and plan-check resubmits that push the whole job back. GV Drafting takes that variable off your board.

01

Slow turnarounds

Drawings stuck behind someone else's project while your permit clock runs.

02

Surprise revisions

Scope and price creep mid-project with no clear policy.

03

Vague pricing

Every job starts with a negotiation instead of a number.

04

Plan-check resubmits

Rejected sets cost 2–6 weeks and stall the build.

The flagship offer

Reserve your drafting capacity. Stop re-hiring a drafter every job.

Reserved drafting capacity means a guaranteed block of drafting hours every month — same-week turnaround, a priority queue, and a template library built around the homes you actually build, so every new set starts at 60%, not zero.

Local advantage

We draft to the plan-check patterns of the cities we know.

Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and the surrounding Northeast Ohio jurisdictions each have their own plan-check tendencies. We draft to the rejection patterns we see most often in the cities we know — so your set clears review instead of bouncing back.

He was very responsive and thorough in helping us navigate the issues we were encountering… he had our final design created and in our hands within about a week.
Mike Morgan · Home addition · Google review
He put a complete package together for me that is ready to be submitted to an engineer for stamping and issued for construction.

05 / FAQ
Questions contractors ask first
Do you work with homeowners?
Our model is built for contractors and larger residential projects. We take on qualified homeowner projects of meaningful scope, but we don't do small one-off jobs under $5K.
Do you stamp drawings?
No. GV Drafting produces construction and permit drawings. We are not a licensed architecture firm and do not stamp plans. When a project legally requires a stamp, we draft the set and coordinate with your stamping architect.
How fast can you turn drawings around?
Project drafting runs 15–30 days depending on scope. Partnership (reserved capacity) clients get a same-week SLA and priority queue.
What is reserved drafting capacity?
A guaranteed block of monthly drafting hours with same-week turnaround, a priority queue, and a template library for your typical builds — so you're not re-sourcing a drafter every project.
What jurisdictions do you serve?
Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and surrounding Northeast Ohio jurisdictions. Plan-Check Insurance is scoped to the cities where we have direct code fluency.
